Chevy Impala Turn Signals And Flashers Don't Work
Problem with my 2000 Chevy Impala 3.4L 3400 V6.
Question:
My flashers are intermittent. Both 4 ways and turn signals works on and off. I dont know
where the flasher or module is. Where is it and how to replace if that is the problem. What do you
think else could cause the lights to act up this way.
Answer:
Thank you for the tip/donation.
See picture below.
The hazard and turn signal flashers are part of the hazard button / switch assembly. This is probably
your problem. First, do 2 things...
With the key on, work the turn lever back and forth vigorously and see if this helps. Sometimes this will indicate a faulty turn signal switch in the steering column.
Do the same by pressing the hazard button in and out vigorously and see if this helps. This will sometimes indicate a faulty hazard / turn switch / flasher assembly. Let me know what you find.....

Chevy ImpalaRadio problem with my 2003 Chevrolet Impala.
Question = Why does my radio say LOC. I purchased an original Radio CD cassette player for the
2003 Impala. I had the mechanic replace the radio and now it displays a message "LOCKED" The
mechanic says that the dealer has to provide me with the code to unlock the radio. I called the
dealer and the dealer wants a $100.00 to unlock the radio. He says that he has to take the radio out
and reinstall it again so that he can see the VIN number that the radio came off. The place that sold
me radio says that the VIN number that radio came from is listed on the receipt. I checked the receipt
it sure is listed there. Is there anyway that I could get the code myself without having to pay the
dealer $100.00.
Answer:
Hello and welcome.
On this vehicle, there is no security code to enter for the radio. This system looks at the vehicle VIN
# and matches it to the radio. After a radio is replaced, the radio must be programmed to the
vehicle. This can only be done with a dealer scanner.
Question:
I'm trying to figure out what is going on with my lights; my driving lights aren't working no matter what I do and neither are my turn signals or hazards. The shiter for the turnsignals and high beams dosent lock into place so to get the high beams to work I have to hold it. Would this be a issue with the colum itself or could this be a issue with the headlight assembly. Please note my daytime running lights and fog lights are working.
Answer:
It sounds like all your problems have to do with the turn signal switch in the column. But first read the above Q and A to see if that is any help. Check all your fuses. The headlights and turn signals circuits on your Impala all go through the turn signal switch. Try jiggling it, harshly hitting the handle up and down for left and right turns, see if you can get the condition to change or correct itself. This would confirm that is the problem.
