Chevy Trailblazer Stability Codes C0445, C0244 And P0455

Question:
Why is my service stability light on the dash as well as the Traction warning on 2006 chevy Trailblazer. The repair shop i took it to scanned and said code C0455 , c0244, but they dont know what is wrong with it. Any help appreciated and donation to follow, thank you. 2006 Chevy Trailblazer 4200 Straight Six Cylinder. Service Stability, TRAC. Computer codes C0455 and c0244.

Answer:
A common cause for this warning light and the codes C0455 and c0244 you are getting is a failed Steering Wheel Position Sensor. This code is very intermittent and hard to diagnose. Even with the proper scanner to view stability system data, the sensor is usually operating correctly at the time of diagnosis. There is also a service bulletin that refers to a wiring harness that may cause these codes, but most all of the time it is the sensor. The sensor is not hard to replace. Takes just 15 minutes or so. If you would like, i can send you instructions on how to do it.

Question:
What should i be looking for when code p0455 comes up- evaporative emission control (EVAP) system leak detected (gross leak). 2006 Chevy Trailblazer 4200 Straight Si Cylinder. Service Stability , TRAC. Computer codes C0455 and c0244. 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. Codes p0455.

Answer:
Code p0455 is a large EVAP leak. A common cause for this is a loose or faulty gas cap. Or if the truck was running when you were filling it with gas, this can also cause this code. Another common cause is a faulty / sticking EVAP vent solenoid / valve. If the vent valve does not operate, the system will not seal when it needs to, thus causing a large leak. A simple test with a test light and a scanner that can turn the vent solenoid on and off would need to be done to test the valve.

Would the ABS module not working throw a u1000 communications code causing my service engine soon light to come? How can i track the wiring problem to the abs system because the scanner threw all 4 abs sensors and the pump.
Yes, it can. A u1000 is a general communication error. It could be the ABS module is bad or a wiring problem. First check the fuses and then disconnect the module and look for broken or damaged terminals.

I've checked all the fuses they look good my problem is i don't know where the abs module is at on my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer
On the chevy trailblazer, it is located under the truck, drivers side, sort of behind the drivers seat.

Thank you one more question. The code reader said that i have 4 incomplete modules can this abs module cause that because theirs no other codes popping up other than the abs codes.
Yes, it can. When one module is having a communication problem, it can effect other modules on the data line circuit.

Thanks, you have been a great help!
