Chevy Silverado A/C Compressor Cycles On and Off

Question:
2001 chevy Silverado 6L. I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado A/C problem. The compressor cycles on and off very fast. It does blow cold but not long enough to cool the cab, inside temp is 120 a/c cools down to 80. System appears to be full. Can you Help?

See picture below. As long as you are SURE that the freon charge is correct (best way to check is to evacuate, see how much came out, and re-charge with proper amount)then one thing to look for is a problem with the low pressure switch. They have been known to be faulty and cause the compressor to cycle on and off. The low pressure switch(1) screws into the accumulator (2), and has a 2-wire connector. The accumulator is the aluminum cylinder with two lines attached to it. It is near the firewall, on the passenger side. A light tap on the sensor while compressor is on, usually will turn off compressor and indicate switch needs to be replaced.

Question: I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado and the a/c compressor will not come on we have checked all of the fuses and all of the connections and they all have fire to them but can not get any power to the compressor would the low pressure switch have to do with this.
 Answer: Yes it could be either the low or high pressure switch, but it could also be a problem with the compressor itself. Have you checked to see if you're getting power to the compressor connector when it should be turned on?

There is no power to the compressor but there is power to the low and the high pressure switch.
 Have you checked the relay for the compressor to see if it 'clicking' or getting power when turned on?Where are the low and the high pressure switches located there is one on dryer where is the other.

I'm pretty sure it is NOT a switch problem.
