Oldsmobile Delta 88 new key activation sequence

i have 1992 olds 88 royale. for replacement ignition key, what is activation sequence?.

This is listed for chevy cars with the chipped ignition keys, so may work for you ::

1. Turn the key ON.
2.Wait for 10 minutes or until the theft / security light goes out.
3.Turn key off for 10 seconds.
4. Start the car. Learn is complete

The procedure listed above will not actually work on your Oldsmobile. There is no key relearn for this theft system. If you replaced the key, it must with the correct chip number, then it will start right up.

If it is the correct key number and still wont start, then you most likley have a common problem of a broken wire on the back of the ignition cylinder.
