2007 GMC sierra classic blower motor speed problem

I have a 2007 Sierra Classic (2007 year model, but 2006 body style). The blower is not working at all at any setting. I've checked the fuses and that is not the problem. I switched out with the ignition system since they are the same fuse. I guess the next step is to test the blower motor itself. Can you tell me how difficult it is to get to and let me know where I can find an exploded diagram or instructions. I'm leaving for a roadtrip with family on Friday mmorning so not much time. Is this something I can do myself fairly quickly like one night after work?

Most likely a burned out resistor.
They have a tendency to burn out, and also may burn the connector and teminals.
There is a replacement harness from the GM dealer to repair this, along with a new resistor.

where is the ristor and wire harness at

The resistor is next to the blower motor under the passenger side of the dash.
It bolts up into the HVAC case.
The harness plugs into the resistor.

Dont forget to look at the wiring harness on the blower motor resistor connector. They burn up to. It will melted. There was recall on several year truck for replacing the blower motor and the harness. Call your local deeler with the VIN number and they can look it up for you.
