trailblazer No ac temp low

Unread post by Bsn409 » Thu Jan 03, 2019 3:33 pm

I have a 2008 Chevy trailblazer. I have read of the forms where temperature gauge goes to zero and the AC shuts off. I replaced the temperature sensor which was no fun. Same issue exists. Does anyone know where I go from here.

have you checked to see if you have enough refrigerant to let the system turn on? If your AC pressure is too low the pressure switch won't pass the current to the compressor. Or you could have a bad switch that would do the same thing.

If your engine temp gauge stays on cold you should have a check engine on for that. Some vehicles turn off the AC and/or the cruise control if the check engine light is on. P0128 for too cold too long could be thermostat not heating up the coolant and making the check engine light turn on.

if the check engine light is not on then I would concentrate on the ac system.
