Unread post by lynnpete » Wed Jan 13, 2010 8:30 pm

We changed the oil in my Trailblazer ourselves, and I need to know how to reset the change/check oil code so that the light will go off on my dash.

Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
Quickly press the gas pedal to the floor and release 3 times.
Do this within 5 seconds.
Turn key of for 10 seconds. Then restart truck and light will come on, then go off.
You can also use the driver information center controls if your truck has this.

trouble shooting oil leak

Unread post by pipemaster » Mon Feb 03, 2014 11:22 pm

I have a 02 trailblazer that is leaking oil on the ground about the size of a 5 gallon bucket. Very hard to pin point where the leak maybe coming from due to oil all over the engine. Realizing that this might possibly be front seal but can it possibly b e sending unit? Could I get an opinion on this matter please

it could be from almost anything. A leak that bad should be quick to find. clean your engine with an engine degreaser. let it soak everywhere you thing the leak may be coming from. follow instructions off the degreaser. then wash it off and let it dry. then start the engine and look for the leak.

Unread post by mgm » Tue Dec 12, 2017 9:30 am

I have a 2004 Trailblazer 4.2 I-6, the problem I am having oil is getting into the secondary air injection system. Also, leaking out at the secondary check valve gasket onto the exhaust manifold. I have spoke to alot people and nobody has runn across is problem. Does anyone know what could cause this condition?

system should be just blowing air. Sometimes you can get water through the system. Where is your air intake for the air pump? Or do you have the pulse secondary air injection? could it be water rusted up and leaking out?
