Antennae will not retract/extend, motor heard running, bought a new mast.
How do I remove the old mast? There seems to be no way to get it out of the motor mount.

Re: Antenna Replace
you have to pull the old mast out while the motor is trying to raise the mast. When you turn the radio on and you hear the motor going, pull the mast out. (provided you have removed the mast nut that holds the mast in) If the mast doesn't move out grab the antenna shaft that is sticking out with a pliers of vice grip. Don't worry about damaging the shaft because you are replacing it anyways. (Only pull it while the motor is running, trying to raise the antenna) You may have to use a pliers or vise grip and hammer on it to pull the mast up. They do get stuck.
