For this problem to come and go does not make sense. You have to see what ius happening when it is acting up. Maybe you are loosing spark to a few cylinders. Maybe the ignition coil is weak and does not have a strong spark at times. You would see the color of the spark different between when running good and running bad.

Maybe you got some bad gas in the tank. Take a fuel sample into a glass jar, let it sit a few minutes and see if it seperates or there is debre in it.

Was if a big puddle.....did u get water in your intake? If u did it will end up in a cylinder and cause it to seize up....ie. hydro lock .....you cannot compress water. Air is compressable hence compression but water will not and your engine will lock up. If u try and start it will it crank over or just click. If it just clicks take the spark plugs out and crank it over a few times to blow the water out of the cylinder. If you see water coming out of the spark plug hole you hydro locked it! Sometimes you will bend a valve or have major damage. Put some oil down each plug hole and do a compression test. If it cranks over fine you probably have an electrical/sensor issue. Let me know what u find and I will give u more guidance! -Mike

you need to start with the basics on this one. When it's raining and won't start you need to check for spark, fuel pressure and injector pulse. Check to see if you have good spark at the coil and then check to see if you have good spark at the plug. You could have a weak coil, a bad coil wire, bad spark plug wires or poor cap and rotor condition. Any one of those things would be affected by moisture in the system.

Verify that you have the required fuel pressure for your truck. Fuel pressure spec is 44 to 54 psi but the spec is with the engine idling. So, in most cases key on engine off it would be slightly higher.

Injector pulse could be checked by unplugging an injector and use a test light between the two contacts in the harness connector. If the test light flashes as you crank the engine over it means that you should be getting injector pulse. If it doesn't flash you may have a cam or crank sensor problem, a pcm problem or something between those problems.

anyways check to see if you have all three things working normally and if any one of those things are not present when you're cranking you know what to concentrate on.

sorry, I don't understand. so, lets start from the beginning...

you replaced your computer? can you tell why you did that? And what did you replace it with? New, rebuilt, used... Did you have it flashed reprogrammed)

What do you mean when you say "its will turn on all electronics you get fan belt everything" Fan belt?

Have you checked your ignition switch start circuit? Or verified if you have power going to the starter solenoid? Maybe you have a bad starter. or starter relay

Some of these had an issue with the gauge cluster shorting out. What happens is that some of pins would come lose and intermittently not make connection. Had a 98 Town & Country that I fought for several months that would sometimes not crank after just being driven even though everything else worked before I found a post about it. Pulled the cluster and started wiggling pins on the back and sure enough, found 3 loose. Resoldered them, put the cluster back in and never missed a lick after that. It's something anybody with average mechanical skills could do and a steady hand at soldering. Or you could take your chances with a junk yard cluster but you could end up with one that had the same issues. Hope this helps.
