front end noise

'98 Dakota, bad squeak in front end, no grease or oil helps.

Use some silicone spray or WD-40 to spray the front stabilizer bar bushings. Be sure there is plenty of grease in the upper and lower ball joints. Spray all the control arm bushings.

Grease all the parts properly. This may solve your problem.

when does it squeak? does it squeak when you are going over bumps? when you are turning? Can you make it make the noise while the car is standing still by turning or bouncing it? If you can make it make the noise while it is stationary you could find the noise by placing a stethoscope on components and listen to where the noise is the loudest. or feel it with your finger on the component. If it makes the noise turning, ball joints and tie rod ends could be bad. bouncing could be those and control arm bushings sway bar frame bushing...

Dakota's have a history of upper ball joints that can break. Find and verify the noise before someth8ing breaks and you might be stranded or...
