Van alarm system help!

Unread post by kaybell » Tue Oct 01, 2013 1:53 pm

What I believe to be the alarm system locking us wont let the van start. It will start for 10 secs three times and then nothing will happen. Replaced the pcm and instrument cluster checked to see if its the key but the key doesn't have a chip.

your ignition switch could be sending the wrong signal to the body control module. Normal values would be like, Key in ACC. - 3.12v, off & steering lock - 4.04v off & unlocked - 2.18, run position - 1.10v, start - .41v. You might want to scan for codes and see if you have codes for primary circuits.
