the three key cycles and then it starts for a little while sounds like it could be a fuel pressure problem. each time you cycle the key without starting up allows the fuel pressure to build up. As soon as it starts up it runs the fuel pressure down to where it can't stay running.

It could be a bad coil. Actually, it could be a lot of things but I would check the basics first. Fuel pressure, Injector pulse and spark. You said it still has compression, did you measure it? Timing belt can cause a no start but since it ran when you cycled the key 3 times I would look at fuel pressure first.

Overheat on any car can cause serious problems down the road. Once an engine gets overheated there is a chance that the head gasket may be damaged. It may take months to show up so that it's noticeable but the damage was way back when it first overheated.

code P0352 usually means a bad coil
code p0420 usually means your catalytic converter is not cleaning up your exhaust.

If you have a coil that is not firing correctly you will probably get too much unburned fuel in the exhaust and that could be a reason the Cat. can not clean it up. Fix the coil situation and clear the codes and see if the Cat. code comes back. If it does come back you will probably need to replace the catalytic converter. If the Cat. code doesn't come back you're probably okay.

put new rotatar&wires&plugs on,started up,it flooded itself out, tried to pop the clutch to go,didnt happen, let it sit, attempts to turn it over, and over, but acted like it was out of gas but plenty of gas in it. im not a mechanic, mechanic boogied, so ive got to figure out why it isnt starting. if i could watch a step by step video or get step by step instructions like a check list ?

okay, first thing is, how was it running before you did any of this work?

I see the wires and plugs parts but I am not sure about your rotor... ? Do you mean rotor? Or distributor cap and rotor?

Are you sure you got the firing order correct on the cap?

If the engine hasn't been running for a while even before you did the work I would try to find out if you have a timing belt problem or a compression problem.

Something else you could check is if you have spark coming out of the distributor cap.

I guess step one would be check for spark.

1. spark out of the distributor cap.
2. firing order on wires out of the cap.
3. if those things are normal then verify compression and/or timing belt turning cam.
4. Fuel, either gas in the tank or fuel out of the injectors (volume and pressure)

firing order is 1-3-4-2 I found a diagram of firing order on the cap

let me know if you need more help on how to check the different things.

I would not recommend that. why would you want to do that? Even if the bearing was really bad, it's better to leave the bracket on than to try and drive the vehicle without the support bracket. Without the support bracket in place there would be a possibility of the axle damaging the transmission. That is the whole reason they have the bracket to hold the axle in place. The bracket holds the axle in line for the trans.

If you cannot put the support bracket back on have the car towed to a place they can repair it.
