general question on Toyota Camry car specs

My girl has a 1999 Toyota Camry Solara and the drivers power seat motor is messed up.
I am seriously in the Dog house and need some quick advice.

I cant afford to replace it and she had it set where she could reach the pedals cause she's only about 5'2'' but i made the mistake of moving seat back and cant get it foward again...can i switch Passenger seat with the drivers seat to get me outta the dog house?

You probably cannot switch the seat motors as they are different from left to right. Things would be reversed on the passenger seat and would not mount up properly on the driver's seat.

Without replacing the motor, I can't really help you much here. You might want to try getting under there and giving the motor some taps with a small hammer or handle of a screwdriver. Sometimes you can get the motor to engage that way.

my 1994 toyota camry 2.2 engine shuts down whilst driving or in park. change the distributor and the gas pump and the gas filter put problem still persist. took it to a mechanic and he did a diagnostic test. He said it is the car computer. it put the vehicle in run and after it gets hot it shut it down. He said change the computer and the car would run. is this a good solution

Since I'm not actually working on the car, I don't know what he found, but it certainly could be a computer problem. The only way to find out would be to replace it and see what happens.

Many of my colleagues told me that if it was the computer, my car wouldn't start at all. is this a true statement?

Not necessarily, a computer can be faulty or have certain problems and still let the car run.

They must be giving you the runaround or just don't want to do it for you. Any dealer can view and print the specs, build, options, etc for any car that they produced. Maybe try another dealer, or see someone else at the same dealership. Even try the parts department, they can put your VIN in the system and pull up options since that's how they look up parts.

I don't work for Toyota, so unfortunately I can't get the info for you. You probably won't find anywhere other than a dealer that can get you the exact specs you're looking for. One last thing, maybe pick up a repair manual for your specific car, it may contain some of the info you need.
