Hard Brake Pedal On Ford Bronco
Hard Brake Pedal On Ford Bronco
I have a 1989 Ford Bronco II XLT that has a very hard brake pedal. I recently installed two new front brake calipers and pads and bled the front calipers. Now a few weeks later the brake pedal will not depress. Did I not bleed the system properly or do I have another problem?
Re: Hard Brake Pedal
Improper bleeding would not take a few weeks to show a problem.
Sounds like the vacuum booster has failed causing no power brakes. The truck will stop, but you have to STAND on the pedal.

Re: Hard Brake Pedal
I agree with hadley but it could also be a broken vacuum line to the power brake booster.

Re: Hard Brake Pedal
One reason why brake pedal is hard to press is because of the build-up of the water in the brake line. After finding out the problem of your brake, try to replace it with the brake power booster if the connection is fine. I guess this would somehow fix the problem.
