Code for TRS in Ford F-250

I got a 1998 f250 and I got a trs problem changed it tree times and still get a code any info :? :? :twisted:

That code is a transmission range sensor malfunction. You probably did not need to replace the transmission for this! Check the sensor and the wiring, as moisture intrusion is the most common cause for a problem like this.

any insight on getting the moisture out or can i put a dab of ky in there

Depends on how much moisture, if that's even the actual problem. That's just a starting point and most common on those. You can try to blow it out with an air gun to dry off terminals, etc, but usually that won't be a permanent fix. I would NOT put anything other than actual dielectric lube in any connector, so don't use ky. If you can determine that moisture was the cause, you might be better off either replacing the sensor, the connector or both.

ill give it a try . i didnt change the trans just the switch. dont see any bad or pinched wires
