2001 mustang ABS Traction issue

try unplugging your iac valve. you might have to hold the idle up just a little bit when you unplug it or the car might stall. Sometimes the iac will vibrate and sound like a fog horn at idle. It will still operate but big noise at idle. Off idle it should go away.

I acquired a 2004 ford focus last week that has very low miles on it and has been maintained well. Yesterday and this morning, the car would not start and the engine light came on; however, a jump start resolved the problem, temporarily. Any ideas what may be causing this problem?

it is normal for the check engine light to be on if the key is in the run position and the engine is not running. is the light on while the engine is running?

how old is your battery? I would recommend that you have your battery checked and your charging system tested.

I don't know what's normal about this car... I've had it a week and was driving across country all but the last few days. The battery still looks very new, but I will get it checked... that would be an easy fix. Thanks for your response.

I am having some sort of electrical problem. The car will drive fine then out of the blue the ABS light lights up and the radio flashes on and off and the car dies and when it's jumped it runs like crap, then after sitting awhile it ran fine again and until I removed the fuse the map lights on the rear view mirror would stay lit (they light when you open the door its a convertible) Now it wont start again and I had to haveit towed home last night does anyone know what to look for with this issue? Help!

so when you are driving the car and it acts up and dies and you have to jump it to get it running again?
