97 blazer back hatch light switch

i got a new replacement light switch for my 97 blazer but can not see how to adjust the depth setting for the switch as it is way to far out as is. Any body know how this adjustment is performed.

can you post a picture of the switch? Is it the same as the original switch?

yes it is identical to the original light switch

ok, I don't understand... if it is just like the original switch, did the original switch stick out too far too? Are you talking about a door jam switch? A push button light switch that goes up in the roof? the dome light switch that is part of the headlight switch? that why I asked about a picture so I could know what switch you are talking about. If you don't have a picture you could google the parts image and cut and paste that picture. Or, since you bought one, what is the part number of the switch that you bought.
