Starting issues
My 1991 GMC Sonoma v6 4.3 starts alright (not perfect) when cold, but once warmed up and I shut it off, it will not start again.
Re: Starting issues
Your GMC could have one of several problems.
1. First, check fuel pressure. It must be AT LEAST 55 PSI when turning the key to the on position, and must not fall below that. Even a few pounds less, the truck will not start.
2. You may just need a complete tune-up.
3. Check for carbon buildup in the throttle bore and plate. Clean it out, then take a ride on the expressway to blow it out.
