Unread post by ztheolds » Wed Feb 06, 2013 4:59 pm

battery dead in morning. replaced battery. 174 ma draw, pull fuses will go down to 107ma. (remove 60amp fuse for bcm, 174ma draw goes down to 130ma draw) (voltage draw goes down to 10.4 from 12.4. when bcm fuse is puled) pull more fuses ma draw is now 107ma. 57000 miles basically garaged. thank you for any help. dave

Have you pulled all of the fuses while watching the meter? A 107 Ma draw is too much. Almost sounds like a bulb. Check the trunk bulb, glovebox, etc. The BCM and most other modules need to power down. This can take up to half an hour, depending on the module.

These can be hard to find because some modules go to sleep, then wake, then sleep, so setting the meter to the MIN/MAX record function is a real help.

I have seen Onstar modules do some strange things and draw the battery down.
