removing a radio
how do you remove a radio from a 2002 silverado
Re: removing a radio
you have to remove the instrument cluster bezel. It goes all the way from the left side of the dash to around the radio and heater controls. you need to put the gear shift lever in the lowest position and tilt the steering wheel all the way down too. That's to get clearance to get the bezel out. then remove the bezel. The side of the factory radio has retainers on the side. just push down on the tabs and pull the radio out. If the radio might be going back, you should record the security code before you remove it.
