temp sensor and snow plow
temp sensor and snow plow
2010 Silverado with Fisher plow- Outside temp sensor is apparently being blocked by the plow blade. Passenger cabin heat /defrost cools when outside temp gauge reaches 50+ degrees. Actual outside temp in the teens. Engine temp remains constant.
Re: temp sensor and snow plow
I know the ambient air temperature sensors are slow to adjust, but the plow does seem to be blocking airflow. I would suggest relocating it. It is just a 2 wire sensor. So relocate it where it will get air, and splice in 2 wires lengths to accomodate the move.
Re: temp sensor and snow plow
MeccBoy- Thanks for the reply. I had tried positioning the plow at variuos angles and heights to no avail. My next option, as you suggested, was to move the sensor. Thanks again.
