94 blazer has issue
94 s10 blazer, 4.3L vortech. sometimes hard to start, but ALWAYS does, when you push on the gas he bogs down, let off, he idles fine. Issue started after driving a bumpy dirt raod, than got worse over time. works fine after re-start, a few bumps later issue comes back.?????????? Any ideas???????????? Thanks
Re: 94 blazer has issue
Sounds like a fuel pump with low pressure, except that part of it is fine after a res-start, until hitting bumps again- then acts up again.
Pump may be causing a loose wires or harness to act up.
I would grab and move all the harnesses under hood while running to see if you can get it to act up.
Especially battery cables and grounds.

Have a 93 Blazer with CPI, Does it have this on yours?
If so the hard starting may be the fuel lines under the plenum, replaced mine after it acting like it was flooded when starting and it cleared it up! Might check that out, these are "plastic" and mine was split under side where you had to turn the key on and see it "squirting" out to know it was bad!

Agree with you gwcchatt. Done several of those over the years. But may not explain his problem of "not always" hard to start.
replacing Fuel pressure regulator on a 99 s10 Blazer
I have a 1999 s10 Blazer with a Vortec 4.3 engine and I need to replace the Fuel pressure regulator. Is the regulator located under the upper intake manifold ?. I tried looking for it today and I couldn't find it any were so the only other place it could be is under the upper manifold. Is this were it's located at.
Re: replacing Fuel pressure regulator on a 99 s10 Blazer
Yes it is under the upper intake plenum. It clips onto the injector assembly- also known as the "sprider".

fuel lines 97 blazer
had fuel pump replaced by the dealer a couple years ago which has been fine since. a few months ago motor went out and replace with identical one from a 98 pickup. since then the fuel lines are making this irritating howl/squeal noise at pretty much the same volume from the tank to the intake using stethoscope type probe. any help would be appreciated. thanks
Re: fuel lines 97 blazer
do you still have the old motor? Try switching the fuel pressure regulator and see what that does.
