Hi.
I have just bought a Pontiac Trans Sport with a malfunctioning ABS.
It is an export model with a 2.3 16V engine.
The guy I bought it from had it at inspection and it didnt pass . ( it is winter and slippery, so a good chance for inspectionman to find out). All other systems seems to work (ABS light goes out when the engine starts. )
And it brakes very good. I hope this could be a minor repair, so I am searching for some tips on measuring and fault finding.
What are the usual issues on these problems.?
Thank you
Pontiac Transport ABS - not pumping
Re: ABS - not pumping
If you are saying that the ABS does not function, this could be as simple as a bad fuse or ABS relay. There should be an ABS relay on the drivers side under the hood. It would have a red or black plastic cover over that says ABS.
On the drivers side strut tower.
