2004 Malibu Classic Engine Swap

I have a 2004 Malibu Classic with a 2.2L blown engine, and I also have a 2005 Pontiac Vue with a good 3.5L and am trying to figure out if the engine mounts are the same and if I can use the same transmission. I have heard they are bolt up but want to be sure before I start this.

I think you should do a lot more research on the swap. If you have to ask about the engine mounts, how much do you know about the computers and wire harness? The mounts have different part numbers as do the transmissions. If you want to verify what you need to do to swap the engines you should talk to a wrecking yard and have them check the interchange books and information they have. Engine cradle is also different.

"Pontiac Vue"? Saturn Vue here in the U.S. Pontiac Vibe?

changing an engine with the correct engine is hard enough. an engine swap that is totally different, 4cyl to a 6cyl is going to be a lot more work. (and maybe some engineering)
