I have a 2005 Chevy Impala SS with the 3.8 litre supercharged engine.
The "check engine light" has recently come on.
I had the code checked at the local auto parts store and he said it was a single code P0135 which was supposed to be oxygen sensor preheater malfunction.
Anyone have any ideas/comments onthis code?
Car still seems to run fine.
He reset the light, but it came back on fairly quickly.
Thanks,
2005 Impala SS code P0135
Re: 2005 Impala SS code P0135
This code is for the heater, which is internal to the oxygen sensor.
Check the fuses int the fuse box under the hood, if ok, then it needs a sensor.

Yes, if fuse is good, then put test light on the purple wire of the oxygen sensor- engine harness side, with the key ON.
should have power at that wire. If you do, then sensor is bad.

Each oxygen sensor has a heater element in it.
