2004 Chevy malibu-fuel problem

Wondering why my malibu while sitting in park can be reved up to 4000 then drops down to 3500 on its own and bounces back and forth.

This can be a problem with a vacuum leak, or an idle air control valve.
Depending on the engine, there are common areas of vacuum leaks.
Has the computer been scanned for codes?
