Ignition fuse on chevy malibu

The ignition fuse on my 2004 chevy malibu blows everytime i turn key to start pos. I changed the faulty starter and did a visuale for a faulty wire. Whats the most probable cause and how do i check it?

It's very possibly a bad ignition switch, or wiring issue on that particular circuit. If you got anything extra wired into the car, such as an alarm, or other aftermarket items, that can do it as well. You'd really need to trace the entire circuit, or start disconnecting things and see if the fuse stops blowing.

Ok and thank you. I got the car running but says its running at reduced power and the throttle wont work could u help me one more time plz

Usually that's the sign of a faulty throttle body. You'd really need to get it scanned for codes to know for sure, but more than likely you need a new throttle body assembly.
