Door CHIME constant won't shut off, had to disconnect batter

Previous owner had someone REPLACE IGNITION TUMBER, now the door chime won't shut off, does the ignition tumbler have anything to do with DOOR CHIME iT keeps chiming and kills battery? It's a 1994 Chevy Camaro Base model, 3.4LV-6.

Yes, there is a little plastic lever that the ignition cylinder moves that controls the 'key in ignition' chime. Sometimes these break, or get mis-positioned when the cylinder is changed. Unfortunately, you're going to have to disassemble the steering column again and either fix it or replace it to get the chime to shut off.
