Can 3.1L V6 Valve Get Bent

can the valves get bent on a 1990 3.1 chevrolet engine in a lumina if the timing chain jumps a 1/4 turn on the crankshaft, or is the 1990 3.1 afre floating engine/

This is not a free motor. This is an interference motor. Valves can be damaged, especailly at a higher than idle engine speed.
