2004 ga 3.4 dtc's

I ran out of gas and then my fuel pump went and I replaced it. Now I have gotten several different dtc's with the most recent set being
DTC P0440 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System
DTC P0446 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent System Performance
DTC P0452 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
DTC P0453 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit High Voltage
I cant remember if it is 452 or 453 that comes up along with the other 2. can you give me some insight into what these trouble codes are telling me with one scenario adding the 452 to the other two and one adding the 453 to the other two. have been going round with this evap stuff for quite a while and it is confusing. :?:

I forgot to mention that I got a used fuel pump cuz I couldnt afford a new one so the fuel pressure sensor would not be a new sensor.

prior to this the codes indicated a bad purge system selinoid so I have replaced that and then these new codes came up.

The P0440 is a general EVAP system failure probably caused by the other codes. P0446 is just as it describes there is a problem in the vent solenoid. You need to test it with a test light. Unplug the solenoid put your test light in line with the connector then use a scanner to turn it on off. These solenoids are common to fail. The pressure sensor codes high and low could just be a bad pressure sensor. Again, you need a scanner to look at data from that sensor. Make sure you have everything plugged in after replacing the fuel pump and none of the wires are smashed between the tank and the body.

1996 Grand Am 3.1L motor into a 1995 Grand Prix 3.1L

Hello,

I have a 1996 Grand Am 3.1L with the aftermarket intake gaskets replaced; however, the body and interior is a little rough. I see on Craigs list there is a 1995 Grand Prix with a 3.1L - bad engine - but pretty good body and interior.

1. Will the motor from my Grand Am go into the Grand Prix?

2. Does anyone have a link to pulling or replacing a motor of that type? I've replaced motors in 60's and 70's cars - so not a total noob.

Thanks.
