oil in intake Supercharged Buick

Unread post by dirtybird » Tue Jul 22, 2014 7:42 pm

my first attempt to post didn't work, However the intake gasket appeared to have not sealed in the back. This is on a '97 firebird with heads, intake , and s/c off a 2002 park ave. ultra. I can't understand how with the s/c pumping positive pressure oil can get in, and where from?

intake gaskets, upper plenum & gasket and valve cover gaskets come to mind for the 3.8L

did you torque everything correctly?

in pulling the intake I found the rear intake to block gasket was deformed and appeared to be leaking. I am going to run compression ck's and replace intake gaskets. ck pvc seating as well, as it is in the s/c. thanks for your reply.
