no power to ignition control module

hey there, i am getting no fire from the coil pack, i changed the control module, it ran, then after while it stopped running, and now i am getting no fire from coil pack. I have a 94 Pontiac Bonneville 3800. I replaced the control module 3 times. please help!!

Well, the ignition control module is probably not your problem on your Pontiac since you replaced it several times already. It is possible the coil is shorting out the module, but not very common. Inspect it for cracks between the spark plug towers.

A common problem on the 3800 engine is a bad crank position sensor. Without doing a lot of diagnosis, a way to confirm this is to check for spark AND fuel injector pulse signal when it stalls and does not start. If they are both missing, then most likely the crank sensor is bad since the PCM would not see engine RPM. If the ignition module or coil pack was the problem, you would only be missing spark, injector pulse would still be there since the PCM still sees engine RPM.
