2002 Buick Park Ave
My tail lights will not work no dash lights and my speedometer says I am doing 120 when I know i am only doing 57 I have checked all three fuse boxes checked light bulbs I'm stumped someone said there is a relay for the tail lights have not found any head break lights work turn signals
Re: 2002 Buick Park Ave
tail lights and dash lights along with the front marker lights all turn with the first click on the headlight switch. It's common for the switch to mess up.
do you have power on HDLP (30a maxi), LP PK (25a), SBM?LCM (10a) fuses in the under hood fuse box? LP PK and HDLP should have power all the time. SBM?LCM should be power with the key in run and start.
so, with the headlight switch in the park light on, do you have power on fuses LP PK R (15a) and LP PK L (10a)? these fuses are in the dash fuse box. these fuses are powered up by the lamp control module right side of the steering column. If you don't have power at those fuses and the fuses are good then you have to look at the Lamp Control Module. It sends the power out to those two fuses. the Lamp Control Module also controls the dash lights.
the switch is the most common problem.don't even take the switch off. just unplug it and plug in the new one and see if it works. if it works then replace it.

Thank you for the info I will check all of these I took a test light and checked all the fueses but will double check still don't understand why my speedometer is that out of whack
Re: 2002 Buick Park Ave
scanning the vehicle speed and see it matches up with the dash. could be a bad stepper motor in the dash.
if the dash said 100 and you were doing about 60 mph I would see if your speedo can switch to KPH and MPH but 120 is too high for that. or were you going faster than 57?

I also have that day running lights don't know if there is a relay for that or a switch or if it has anything to do with it
Re: 2002 Buick Park Ave
