you may have a leak in the engine oil cooler under the intake.

You could also have a headgasket problem. A blown head gasket can cause the oil and coolant to mix. This will usually also cause an overheating problem, but not always.

how much does it cost if there is a leak under the coolant intake?
Can it be fixed with clamps or tape and bars?

I just bought a 04 Saturn Vue and after I have it running awhile to go somewhere I come back out and it wants to start hard. It cranks awhile but if I let off the key n hit it again while I'm on the gas pedal a little bit then it starts but I have to stay on the gas a minute after it does start I was wondering what it could be.

you should scan the engine and check the coolant temperature and also look at your fuel trims. You could be running rich and flooding it. That's why it starts easier when you step on the gas. Lets in more air. Next time it doesn't start normally try holding the gas pedal to the floor. That will tell the engine to stop the fuel and clear it out if it is flooding. If it starts sooner that way you should look into why it's running rich. Coolant temp reading too cold, fuel pressure regulator leaking fuel through the vacuum line.

you should check with a local wrecking yard for interchangeable engines. Most have books that will say what is able to be swapped

Saturn vue will loose power and the engine reves up but vehicle won't pull. I'll park it and it will run fine later. A few days, weeks, or months it will do it again. No consistency, no pattern. It is as if the transmission fails and recovers later. Any ideas?

My 2002 sl2 saturn just started looking power last night and would go in reverse . This morning ran good and now again no acceleration power and when I hit the window buttons or push on breaks power bogs down .

I would look at your alternator to see if it is charging the battery as you drive. It kind of sounds like you are running on the battery and it is running down as you drive.

My ? For the moment is why/what causes a relay in the fuse box under the hood on a 2002 Saturn Vue 3.0 to get fire hot while running?
My engine main L-4 gets fire hot , two others get extremely warm to hot but not fire hot like the engine main relay. Any in put is appreciated.
