Chevy Malibu Turn Signal Lights Problem
Question:
2001 Chevy Malibu turn signal lights problem.
My 2001 Chevy Malibu blinker doesn't work every time, what could that be?
Answer:
This sounds like that the turn/hazzard flasher in the dash is malfunctioning. The hazzard button is
the turn/hazzard flasher all in 1. You are in luck, there is a 'special policy adjustment' that GM has
issued for this concern. GM will replace the switch/flasher at no charge for up to 10 years or
150,000 miles. Just call any chevy dealer in your area and tell them that your turn/hazzard flasher is
malfunctioning and you heard of a 'special policy adjustment' to repair you car.
Question:
Amber casing on both front turn signal burned out, front turn signals work sometimes. 2004 Chevrolet Malibu LT. Repairs for this problem = Replaced complete front lighting fixtures.
Answer:
Turn signals working intermittently usually means there is a problem with the switch. If you're sure
all the bulbs are functional, the fuses are good and there are no other issues such as a wiring problem, I'd
try replacing the turn signal switch. It is called the turn signal multifunction switch, and if you can remove
your steering wheel, you can replace it easily. It is one unit that slides over the column and just plugs in.
