1997 Chevy Cavalier. I have a problem with trying to repair.
Dear JK: how do you replace the alternator? have 2 bolts
off, still cannot remove alternator. thanks!
JK:That depends on if you have a 2.2l, or 2.4l engine. Both have 3 bolts that hold it on. On
the 2.2l, there are 2 on the front and 1 on the back that is difficult to find. It is behind a
bracket on the rear lower side. On the 2.4l there are 2 on top and 1 and the bottom. see
pics.
