Problem with my 2002 Chevy Impala.
Engine size = 2.4 L
Question = I installed a Scosche wiring harness to my 2002 chevy
impala to put an aftermarket stereo head unit in. I installed the
wiring harness and head unit carefully as the directions stated. The
stereo works perfectly while its a sunny day out. However, when the
automatic lights go on at night (or on a cloudy day), the stereo
turns off as if the power switches from the stereo to the automatic
headlights. How can I fix this so my stereo continues to have power
while the headlights are on?
Answer: Sounds like a wiring problem with the harness and or
module you are using. We do not get involved in non-factory
electrical issues. You would need the wiring schematic for the unit
and of the care to compare and do testing and maybe rewiring, or
maybe it is just a badly manufactured system.
