tech = JK
question = Dear Jk, I have a
problem with my 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. I recently had the
service vehicle soon light come on. so i look in the booklet that came
with it and was wondering if it was the Automatic Lighting Control and
how to fix it. Only the Daytime Running light are working and i have no
nighttime light
i would greatly appreciate this

Thank you

JK:
The Service Vehicle Soon light can come on for several reasons. Lighting systems is one of them. If you
are describing that the automatic headlights do not work, or the headlights do not work from the
headlight switch, then the first thing to do as always is to
check ALL fuses. The Service Vehicle light can
come on for something as simple as a blown fuse, headlight bulb(s) burned out, or can get more
involved as a problem wth the ambient light sensor for the auto headlamps.
