Problem with my 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada

4.3L V6

question = SOMETHING IS NOT OPENING OR CLOSING,NOT LETTING THE COLD AIR
FROM AC THROUGH VENTS. HEAT IS BLOWING ALL THE TIME. IS THEIR SOME KIND  OF
SWITCH OR SENSOR THAT OPENS OR CLOSES A DOOR OR SOMETHING IN THE
VENTS?

JK:
It is normal for air to be flowing through the vent at all times. Sounds like the problem you
are having is that you cannot control the temperature of the air.
You may have a temperature door motor problem- either electrically or mechanically.
Also, if the system is automatic HVAC system, you may have a faulty in-car temperature
sensor. If this sensor fails, the automatic HVAC does not know the temperature of the air
inside the truck, so it cant control the temperature door. Further, involved diagnosis may be
required for this complicated system.
