Unintentional high idleing while parked without pressing accellerator

at idle the computer looks at your O2 sensor. if you have unmetered air it will add fuel to try and keep your mix at 14.7 : 1. since it cannot control the air (because of an air leak) it will add fuel to keep the mix where it thinks is good. But, more air and more fuel will raise the rpm's
