When I lift the front door handle , inside lights go on. [ sometimes]
Is there a switch that regulates this or just a fluke?

also back door light only comes on when opening RR, not the LR door.
Why?

The switch is part of the door latch assembly. When you lift the door handle on the driver's door, the lights should come on.

As for the light that doesn't work when you open the LR door, again it could be a latch, switch or wiring problem.
