Hello, I have a 2002 toyota camry that shifts very very hard from 2nd to 3rd gear. If I let off the gas right before I know it's about to shift then it will shift smoothly. I have also recently noticed a burning smell from my motor after a short drive even. I've had the transmission fluid checked and was told it's fine. The car has 205,000 miles and has been doing this for 4 months now. Just curious what you think. Thanks in advance for the help.

Toyota Camry V6 LE Transmission Issue
Re: Toyota Camry V6 LE Transmission Issue
Shifting hard from 2nd to third means you have a faulty vacuum modulator or an internal transmission problem. Letting off the gas lowers engine speed and changes vacuum, so i would have the modulator checked out first.
If it OK, then sounds like it is time for an overhaul.

Are These Two Camry's Compatible?
Hi Everyone,
Someone ran into me and totaled my "1999 Toyota Camry CE/C (White)" a few weeks back.
I just purchased a "1995 Toyota Camry XLE (Green)".
My question is, will the engine and transmission from the "1999 Toyota Camry CE/C (White)" fit into the "1995 Toyota Camry XLE (Green)"?
If it does I think I might keep it for parts...
Thanks Everyone!

Re: Are These Two Camry's Compatible?
check with your local wrecking yard. they would know what years are interchangeable. I would assume that they are not though. One being OBDI and the other being OBDII

Yes, some cars disconnecting the battery will clear the codes. But it doesn't fix anything. So they will come back as the computer does it's relearn.
you're going to have to test the evap pressure switch, the leak detection pump and look for an air leak to fix your car.
