I don't understand "remote driveshafts" are you saying remove crank shaft?

OK, lets start back a little ways. Is the engine in or out of the vehicle? And the heads are off the engine correct? When you say the engine wont turn, you mean you are trying to turn the crank by hand with the heads still off the engine.

you have unbolted the connecting rods that attach the pistons to the crank and none of the pistons seem frozen in the bore. (they can move) but the crank still won't move?

Is the truck an automatic or manual trans? If it is automatic, unbolt the flex plate and see if the flex plate can turn. If the engine is out of the vehicle then you don't have to worry about this. If it's manual trans, it is in neutral right?

Just trying to think of all the options here.
