2005 lincoln town car headlight

Unread post by lancer1945 » Wed Jul 20, 2016 6:12 pm

2005 Lincoln Town Car driver headlight. I removed the radiator shroud and 3 headlight assy bolts I can see, plus the electrical connector, but there's supposedly a fourth bolt beneath the headlight assy between the top of bumper and bottom of headlight assy. I can't see it anywhere. The headlight assy is hung up and won't come out because that bolt is still attached. How do you get to it? Take the whole bumper off?

No you don't have to take the whole bumper off. You do have to take the side of the bumper loose though.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, there is no fourth bolt on the 2005 Town Car headlight assy. What was holding it in was a plastic tab on the top of the headlight assy visible to the immediate left of the stub. You have to push it down and the assy will then come out. It' a totally useless attachement since the headlight assy is already held in with 3 bolts.
