1993 Cavalier dies after warming up

Unread post by Evilbeadle » Fri Jan 17, 2014 2:33 pm

Ive changed all the sensors. I'm stumped. It takes ten minutes or so to start again. Spark dies and injectors too. I also installed a new ECM.

if you have no spark and no injector pulse I would look for the crank signal. Is the crank signal getting back to the PCM?

the crank sensor sends the signal to the ignition control module to tell the module the engine is running and send spark. the signal goes through the ICM to the computer ECM for fuel. if there in no crank sensor signal the spark and fuel injector pulse will turn off.
