have you scanned for codes since you cleared everything? if you have, what codes do you get now?

Re: Reduced Engine Power
No....not yet...but will get that right away....$72.00 for diagnostic checks is hurting my pocket right now....
Re: Reduced Engine Power
a couple of scans at that price and you could buy your own scanner from most parts stores or stores like walmart

Re: Reduced Engine Power
I got codes P0496 and P2138 and P1125....
Re: Reduced Engine Power
not knowing year, make modle or engine size I can tell you that :
p0496 is for an EVAP problem, system flow during non-purge
p01125 if fot the accelerator pedle position system and
p01125 says that APP sensor 1-2 correlation has a problem.
so you will need to look at the readings of the two sensor readings for the APP. you can do that with a scanner or a dvom or lab scope and read the voltage for the sensors.
check for wires that maybe rubbing somewhere. Insulation cracking leaving wires exposed to either ground or other wires

Re: Reduced Engine Power
Sounds like one if two common problems.
1. The accelerator position sensor is bad. That is part of the gas pedal.
2. There are wires inside the left side of the dash that get corroded. Open the drives side door, on the side of the dash is a panel that can be removed. Take it off, disconnect the large wiring harness connector and look for green terminals. If so, clean then off, apply some silicone grease, clear the codes and see if that fixes it. FYI. Many of the large national parts store chains will scan codes for free.
