GM trouble codes P0410
work done to repair = I HAVE CHANGED THE VALVE SOLENOID CHECK THE FUSE
FOR THE SOLENOID. CHANGED THE AIR PUMP AND THE RELAY FOR THE AIR
PUMP.
BUT THE PUMP STILL DOESN'T TURN ON.
Tech = MW
question = WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO CHANGE TO MAKE THAT AIR PUMP TURN
ON.
I TOOK IT TO SEVERAL MECHANICS AND THEY CANT FIGURE IT OUT. PLEASE
LET
ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. (I HAVE CHANGED THE VALVE SOLENOID CHECK
THE
FUSE FOR THE solenoid. CHANGED THE AIR PUMP AND THE RELAY FOR THE AIR
PUMP. BUT THE PUMP STILL DOESN'T TURN ON.

MW:
There is also a fuse for the pump. If that fuse is ok, then the next thing to check for
is that there is power at the pump relay, then ground the relay to turn on the pump. If
you can manually turn on the pump, then the problem may be with the pcm.

The pump relay grounds controlled by the pcm. When you say that the pump never
comes on, i assume you are using a scanner that can control the pump. The pcm will
only turn on the pump under certain conditions. A scanner that can control the pump
can turn it on anytime. The p0410 is set under curtain circumstances, and it
monitors the #1
02 sensor to determine if the system is functioning properly, and
decide to set a code.
Check engine light - Also known as the SERVICE ENGINE SOON or SES light. This
indicates a malfunction in the engine control and emissions systems of your car. Step by
step instructions on how to do a simple scan to check for computer trouble codes. These
codes give an indication as to what system is having a problem.

Had the same code on my truck. Dealer ended up finding a bad diverter valve on
the passenger side of the engine. Sort of looks like an EGR valve. Replaced that
and no more check engine light.
