Problem With My 2007 Chevy Cobalt

Warning lights = power steering

question = I have no power steering sometimes on my 2007 cobalt with
the electric steering. The power steering warning message comes on also.
What can the problem be.

The conditions you have with the electric power steering not working sometimes, and
the power steering warning on the driver info center may be related to a service
bulletin. There is a bulletin that depending on what code has been set in the power
steering control module, that calls for the replacement of the steering column
assembly. There is an in internal failure. Your car is still under factory warranty, so
make an appointment with any GM dealer. The repair will take approx. 2 hours if the
part is in stock.
