Problem with my 2003 Chevy Tahoe Truck

Airbag Light
GM Computer codes = no
Repairs done prior = none

question = My airbag light on the dash is on as well as my review mirror is not  
working.  There is a red light on the review mirror, I've checked the fuse its okay,  
tried turning on the mirror but nothing happens and the light for passenger airbag  
on the mirror is not working.  I was told a sensor or modular was not working  
correctly under the passenger seat?  Is this true could I do it, not sure if it is simple
or need a technician.

Yes, it does sound like a problem in the passenger airbag system is

causing the light in the mirror and the light on the dash. This is called the

"Passenger Presence System"The airbag system would need to be scanned

for codes to start diagnosis. There is something you can check for yourself. There
is a service bulletin for these conditions, if you have a code B0092.



The harness for the passenger presence system may have rubbed through under
the seat on the seat frame. A wire may be pinched between the seat frame and the
riser. I will send a pic of its location shortly..... If there is a rubbed through wire, it
would need to be repaired, then disconnect the battery for a few minutes to clear
the codes if you do not have access to a scanner.
