Problem with my 2000 Chevy Impala.
3.8 V6
Question = On my 2000 Chevrolet impala with a 3800 engine is there a shortcut to getting the
bolt out of the water pump that sits just behind the PS pulley or does it take a lot of work?
2000 Chevrolet Impala 3800 Have all the bolts out of the water pump except the one that barely
sits behind the PS pump pulley.
Answer:
The p/s pump will need to be removed. There are only 2 13mm head bolts that hold it on. They are
accessed through the holes in the power steering pulley. If looking at the pump straight on, 1 bolt
is at about the 2 o'clock position, the other about 6 o'clock position. Then the pump just drops
down out of the way.
I you need more help, just ask.
Added freon, cold on driver side, blows warm on pass side, now all warm
